COVID-19, Housing & Homelessness: Get Your Voice Heard

By GMLC (@gmlawcentre)

The Government Select Committee responsible for housing and local government is calling for individuals and organisations to share their experience about:

  • How effective the government has been is supporting councils, voluntary organisations and individuals to address the impact of COVID-19 on rough sleepers, homeless people and private renters?
  • What are the current and immediate problems for rough sleepers, homeless people and private renters?
  • What are going to be the problems for rough sleepers, homeless people and private renters after lock-down?

The Committee are planning to publish the evidence but you can ask for your submission not to be published or published anonymously.

The deadline is 1 May 2020. We can submit your form for you. Click here to access the form as a MS Word document, complete it and send it to us at housing@gmlaw.org.uk

Or you can respond directly. It’s quick and easy to do. There is a front page where you fill in your details or organisation and role if you are responding on behalf of an organisation and then you upload your response as a separate document. It doesn’t have to be long or answer all the questions asked. Click here to access the form.

If you ever wanted to call for change and speak truth to power now’s the time to do it!
